Robert Cherleton
Son of Robert de Cherleton, father of John Cherleton and husband of Elinore de Holland
Robert born c. 1254 in Cherleton, Wrockwardine, Salopshire, England. He married Elinor de Holland, the daughter of Thurstan de Holland and ? de Kellet, who was the daughter of Adam de Kellet and Matilda de Singleton. Their daughter was born c.1230 in Bolton le Sands
Robert and Elinore had three sons
Alan Cherleton born c.1278, who was the ancestor of the Cherletons of Apley Castle, Shropshire. Alan died on 3rd December 1360
Thomas Cherlton who became bishop of Hereford in 1301. He was Privy Seal to Edward 11 and a military Commander
