Rev John Hewgo

Son of Rev. Walter Hewgo and Margaret Bedford, father of John Hugo and husband of Margaret Byrdall

John was born on 28^th February 1691 and baptised in St Anthony in Roseland on 15^th March.

On  March 11^th 1709/10 , John was admitted sizar at Queens College, Cambridge, matriculating in 1710, graduating BA in 1713 and MA in 1717.

In 1722 John became Rector of St Thomas a Becket, Bridford, Devon.

He married Margaret Bydrall on 2^nd April 1728 in Bridford. Margaret was from Dunchideock, Devon and was baptised on 14^th February 1705/06

John and Margaret had the following children

John remained Rector of St Thomas a Becket, Bridford until his death in 1738, when his father took over as Rector from 1738 until his death in 1741

John was buried in Bridford on 8^th May 1738
