William Thomas Taylor

 

Son of Samuel Taylor and Mary Ann Mayes, Father of Arthur Samuel Taylor and husband of Susannah Lucy Bullimore

William was born on 4th May 1849 at his parents home in Providence Row, South Lynn. Samuel was a plumber and glazier in 1849 and Mary was the informant of the birth.

William marred Susanna Lucy Bullimore on 23rd September 1875 at the Parish Church of St Margaret, Kings Lynn. William was aged 26 and then a plumber and glazier living in London Road.  His father was also still of the same occupation

Susannah was aged 21 on marriage and was living in Tower Street, the daughter of George and Lucy Bullimore, nee Huggins, of Penge in Surrey. George was a Contractor.  Susannah was born in Penge on 26th October 1854 and baptised at St John’s, Penge, on 19th November 1854.  In 1854, George Bullimore was a Railway Contractor of Works

In the 1881 Census, William and Susannah were living at 110 London Road, South Lynn. Thomas was aged 31 and a Master Plumber.  Susannah was aged 27.  At home were the following children all born in Kings Lynn

Samuel Arthur Taylor, presumably known as Samuel, aged 4

Maud E Taylor. aged 2

Charles W Taylor  aged 2 months

Also in the house was a servant – Sarah Roper, aged 19

The 1891 Census has William and Susannah, aged 42 and 35 living at 33 Bridge Street, South Lynn, Norfolk.  The property was a Public House called The Bee Hive and William’s occupation was that of a Plumber and Publican.  Children living at home were:

Samuel A Taylor aged 14, a plumbers labourer

Maude E Taylor aged 12, a Scholar

Charles W Taylor aged 10, a Scholar

Violet Taylor aged 7, a Scholar

Percie Taylor aged 5, a Scholar

Plus one servant
