Francis Carveath |
Son of John Carveath, Father of Eusabius Carveth and husband of Jane Trestean Francis was probably born c. 1560. In 1569 his father, John Carveth, was in the Muster Roll for St Enoder as an “Able Archer” Francis had a brother, Michael Carveath of St Enoder, who married Jane Shorte in St Enoder on 3rd February 1579: Michael and Jane had 18 children. Francis married his second wife, Jane Trestean, in St Enoder on 28th August 1582. Jane was borne c.1563 in St. Enoder, Cornwall. The first wife of Francis was Miss Genatt with whom he had at least 4 children. Francis and Jane had at least 5 surviving children: Francis Carveth baptised c.1584 Eusabius Carveth born on 15th August 1585 and baptised 23rd August 1585 - see Eusabius Carveth notes John Carveth baptised 18th February 1586/87 in Newlyn East, Cornwall John Carveth baptised 18th July 1591 in Newlyn East and married Jane Greyer on 12th October 1628 at St Mary’s Truro. Jane was born c.1595 in St Mary’s Truro. John died in 1660, according to a will, and Jane died in 1663. Florence Carveth baptised 30th August 1593 in St Enoder and married John Whitfield on 25th January 1625, who was born in St Enoder c.1595 Jane Carveth baptised 11th September 1595 in Newlyn East. She married John Walters, who was born c.1591 in Newlyn East.
